Ideal for home use, it lights easily and quickly. Imported from Greece, charcoal comes in small discs which are ideal for burning small quantities of incense at home.

Discs are 3/4" in diameter; 8 discs per roll.

The Monastery of the Glorious Ascension, founded in 1977 and situated on one hundred thirteen acres of wooded, rural land in northwest Georgia, is under the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem in North and South America. In 2002, the Brotherhood was made part of the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre, which is responsible for maintaining and protecting the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and other holy sites and shrines in the Holy Land.

The monks publish a magazine called The Harvest. They make hand-dipped beeswax candles and maintain a cemetery for Orthodox Christians. The monastery also supports the Saint Andrei Rublev Guild which conducts iconography workshops.

These discs help with burning incense in your home praying area

I initially bought just some incense elsewhere and it didn't burn. Someone suggested these charcoal disks. They ar very helpful!
