Chant for his Feast
The men and women of the Schola Cantorum of Saint Peter's in the Loop, Chicago chant the Vespers and Mass in Latin for St. Patrick's feast day. Transcribed from fifteenth-century Irish manuscripts, these chants represent Vespers in its entirety, word-for-word as it would have been heard in the late 1400s at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin. This is a rare opportunity to hear a local dialect of Gregorian chant.
